Statement of Our Faith
Although our members represent many different Christian denominations, we are all in fundamental unity, confessing the following foundational doctrines:
We believe:
The Evangelical Order of Certified Pastoral Counsellors holds letters Patent with the Government of Canada. This Document states the purpose of our Order in part as being:
….to establish, maintain and encourage, by all available means, the provision of individuals, marriage and group counselling and psychotherapy from Christian perspective.
….to establish Seminaries for the training of Counsellors.
….to determine suitable standards of competence and training for Counsellors and arrange for appropriate certification and credentialing thereof.
….to provide direct counselling services to the public by means of clinics, training or information programs and to conduct research.

The
Certified Marriage Counsellor (C.M.C.)
The individual is a member of E.O.C.P.C. at least at the C.P.C. level, is a
Bible College and/or University/College graduate with a diploma or degree. They
have general theology education as well as versed in the theories and therapies
of psychotherapy/marriage and family therapies. They are ordained into the
E.O.C.P.C. counselling order and of high moral and ethical character.

Certified Drug and Addictions Counsellor (C.D.A.C.)
The individual is a member of E.O.C.P.C. at least at the C.P.C. level, is a
Bible College and/or University/College graduate with a diploma or degree. They
have general theological education as well as versed in the theories and
therapies of psychotherapy/drug and addiction therapies. They are ordained into
the E.O.C.P.C. counselling order and of high moral and ethical character.

Certified Compassion Fatigue Specialist/Counsellor (C.C.F.C.)
The individual is a member of E.O.C.P.C. at least at the C.P.C. level, is a
Bible College and/or University/College graduate with a diploma or degree. They
have general theological education as well as versed in the theories and therapies
of psychotherapy/compassion and fatigue therapies. They are ordained into the
E.O.C.P.C. counselling order and of high moral and ethical character.

Certified Dream Analysis Therapist (C.D.A.T.)
The individual is a member of E.O.C.P.C. at least at the C.P.C. level, is a
Bible College and/or University/College graduate with a diploma or degree. They
have general theological education as well as versed in the theories and
therapies of psychotherapy/dream analysis therapies. They are ordained into the
E.O.C.P.C. counselling order and of high moral and ethical character.

Certified Grief Counsellor (C.G.C.)
The individual is a member of E.O.C.P.C. at least at the C.P.C. level, is a
Bible College and/or University/College graduate with a diploma or degree. They
have general theological education as well as versed in the theories and
therapies of psychotherapy/grief therapies. They are ordained into the
E.O.C.P.C. counselling order and of high moral and ethical character.

Certified Anger Management Counsellor (C.A.M.C.)
The individual is a member of E.O.C.P.C. at least at the C.P.C. level, is a
Bible College and/or University/College graduate with a diploma or degree. They
have general theological education as well as versed in the theories and therapies
of psychotherapy/anger management therapies. They are ordained into the
E.O.C.P.C. counselling order and of high moral and ethical character.

Certified
Cross-Cultural Counsellor (C.C.C.C.)
The individual is a member of E.O.C.P.C. at least at the C.P.C. level, is a
Bible College and/or
University/College graduate with a diploma or degree. They have general
theological education as well as versed in the theories and therapies of
psychotherapy/cross-cultural therapies. They are ordained into the E.O.C.P.C.
counselling order and of high moral and ethical character.

The
Certified Essi- Stress Test Trainer/Counsellor (C.E.S.T.)
The individual is a member of E.O.C.P.C. at least at the C.P.C. level, is a
Bible College and/or University/College graduate with a diploma or degree. They
have general theological education as well as versed in the theories and
therapies of psychotherapy/essi-stress test therapies. They are ordained into
the E.O.C.P.C. counselling order and of high moral and ethical character.

Certified Gerontology and Senior Counsellor (CGSC)
The individual is a member of E.O.C.P.C. at least at the C.P.C. level, is a
Bible College and/or University/College graduate with a diploma or degree. They
have general theological education as well as versed in the theories and
therapies of psychotherapy/gerontology and senior therapies. They are ordained
into the E.O.C.P.C. counselling order and of high moral and ethical character.

Certified Child and Sex Abuse Counsellor (C.C.S.A.C)
The individual is a member of E.O.C.P.C. at least at the C.P.C. level, is a
Bible College and/or University/College graduate with a diploma or degree. They
have general theological education as well as versed in the theories and
therapies of psychotherapy/child and sex abuse therapies. They are ordained
into the E.O.C.P.C. counselling order and of high moral and ethical character.

Certified Clinical Depression Counsellor (C.C.D.C.)
The individual is a member of E.O.C.P.C. at least at the C.P.C. level, is a
Bible College and/or University/College graduate with a diploma or degree. They
have general theological education as well as versed in the theories and
therapies of psychotherapy/clinical depression therapies. They are ordained
into the E.O.C.P.C. counselling order and of high moral and ethical character.

Certified Employee Assistance Program Counsellor (C.E.A.P.C.)
The individual is a member of E.O.C.P.C. at least at the C.P.C. level, is a
Bible College and/or University/College graduate with a diploma or degree. They
have general theological education as well as versed in the theories and
therapies of psychotherapy/employee assistance program therapies. They are
ordained into the E.O.C.P.C. counselling order and of high moral and ethical
character.

Christian Nutritional Counsellor (C.C.N.C.)
The individual is a member of E.O.C.P.C. at least at the C.P.C. level, is a
Bible College and/or University/College graduate with a diploma or degree. They
have general theological education as well as versed in the theories and
therapies of psychotherapy/nutritional and diet therapies. They are ordained
into the E.O.C.P.C. counselling order and of high moral and ethical character.

The Certified Intro Bio-Feedback and
Neurofeedback Counsellor (C.B. & N.C.)
The individual is a member of E.O.C.P.C. at least at the C.P.C. level, is a
Bible College and/or University/College graduate with a diploma or degree. They
have general theological education as well as versed in the theories and
therapies of psychotherapy/ intro bio-feedback and neurofeedback therapies.
They are ordained into the E.O.C.P.C. counselling order and of high moral and
ethical character.

The
Certified Christian Psychiatric Counsellor (C.C.P.C.)
The individual is a member of E.O.C.P.C. at least at the C.P.C. level, is a
Bible College and/or University/College graduate with a diploma or degree. They
have general theological education as well as versed in the theories and
therapies of psychotherapy/ psychiatric therapies. They are ordained into the
E.O.C.P.C. counselling order and of high moral and ethical character.

The
Certified Christ Centered Therapist (C.C.C.T.)
The individual is a member of E.O.C.P.C. at least at the C.P.C. level, is a
Bible College and/or University/College graduate with a diploma or degree. They
have general theological education as well as versed in the theories and
therapies of Christ centered psychotherapies. They are ordained into the
E.O.C.P.C. counselling order and of high moral and ethical character.

The
Certified Christian Mental Health Therapist (C.C.M.H.T.)
The individual is a member of E.O.C.P.C. at least at the C.P.C. level, is a
Bible College and/or University/College graduate with a diploma or degree. They
have general theological education as well as versed in the theories and
therapies of intro psychology/mental health therapies. They are ordained into
the E.O.C.P.C. counselling order and of high moral and ethical character.
18.
The
Certified Christian Life Coach (C.C.L.C.)
The individual is a member of E.O.C.P.C. at least at the C.P.C. level, is a
Bible College and/or University/College graduate with a diploma or degree. They
have general theological education as well as versed in the adult life coach
and transformational therapies. They are ordained into the E.O.C.P.C.
counselling order and of high moral and ethical character.

The
Certified Christian Eating Disorders Therapist (C.C.E.D.T.)
The individual is a member of E.O.C.P.C. at least at the C.P.C. level, is a
Bible College and/or University/College graduate with a diploma or degree. They
have general theological education as well as versed in the theories and
therapies of psychotherapy/eating disorders. They are ordained into the
E.O.C.P.C. counselling order and of high moral and ethical character.

The
Certified Christian Self Esteem Therapist (C.C.S.E.T.)
The individual is a member of E.O.C.P.C. at least at the C.P.C. level, is a
Bible College and/or University/College graduate with a diploma or degree. They
have general theological education as well as versed in the theories and
therapies of psychotherapy/ self esteem disorders. They are ordained into the
E.O.C.P.C. counselling order and of high moral and ethical character.

The
Certified Christian Home Care Support Worker (C.C.H.C.S.W.)
The individual is a member of E.O.C.P.C. at least at the C.P.C. level, is a
Bible College and/or University/College graduate with a diploma or degree. They
have general theological education as well as versed in the theories and
therapies of intro psychology/ home care support worker requirements. They are
ordained into the E.O.C.P.C. counselling order and of high moral and ethical
character.

The
Certified Christian Psycho-Cybernetics Counsellor (C.C.P.C.C.)
The individual is a member of E.O.C.P.C. at least at the C.P.C. level, is a
Bible College and/or University/College graduate with a diploma or degree. They
have general theological education as well as versed in the theories and
therapies of Christian psycho-cybernetics requirements. They are ordained into
the E.O.C.P.C. counselling order and of high moral and ethical character.

The
Certified Christian Community Mediator (C.C.C.M.)
The individual is a member of E.O.C.P.C. at least at the C.P.C. level, is a
Bible College and/or University/College graduate with a diploma or degree. They
have general theological education as well as versed in the theories and
therapies of psychotherapy/ Christian community mediation. They are ordained
into the E.O.C.P.C. counselling order and of high moral and ethical character.
24.
The
Certified Trauma Response Counsellor (C.T.R.C.)
The individual is a member of E.O.C.P.C. at least at the C.P.C. level, is a
Bible College and/or University/College graduate with a diploma or degree. They
have general theological education as well as versed in the theories and
therapies of Christian trauma response requirements. They are ordained into the
E.O.C.P.C. counselling order and of high moral and ethical character.
25.
The
Certified Christian Cognitive Behaviour Therapist (C.C.C.B.T.)
The individual is a member of E.O.C.P.C. at least at the C.P.C. level, is a
Bible College and/or University/College graduate with a diploma or degree. They
have general theological education as well as versed in the theories and
therapies of psychotherapy/ cognitive behaviour techniques. They are ordained
into the E.O.C.P.C. counselling order and of high moral and ethical character.
26.
The
Certified Christian Nouthetic Counsellor (C.C.N.C.)
The individual is a member of E.O.C.P.C. at least at the C.P.C. level, is a
Bible College and/or University/College graduate with a diploma or degree. They
have general theological education as well as versed in the theories and
therapies of nouthetic/ competent to counsel psychotherapy requirements. They
are ordained into the E.O.C.P.C. counselling order and of high moral and
ethical character.
27.
The Christian
Certified Chaplain E.O.C.P.C.
The individual is a member of E.O.C.P.C. at least at the C.P.C. level, is a
Bible College and/or University/College graduate with a diploma or degree. They
have general theological education as well as versed in the theories and
therapies of chaplaincy ministry with 5 years experience. They are ordained
into the E.O.C.P.C. counselling order and of high moral and ethical character.
28.
The Christian Certified Transformational
Therapist (C.C.T.T.)
The individual is a member of E.O.C.P.C. at least at the C.P.C. level, is a
Bible College and/or University/College graduate with a diploma or degree. They
have general theological education as well as versed in the theories and
psychotherapies of all E.O.C.P.C. competencies. They must have 5 years of
counselling experience. This course is the culmination diploma of all
E.O.C.P.C. certificates. This course is taught by Dr. Stephen Hambly and his
textbook is required, with a written exam workbook. They are ordained into the
E.O.C.P.C. counselling order and of high moral and ethical character.ychotherapy Practice
The EOCPC has a special arrangement with the Canadian Christian Clinical Counsellors and Psychotherapist Association’s Head office in Calgary to hold workshops once a year for 3 of their designations.
